Backpacking Europe will be one of the greatest adventures of your lifetime but without some form of planning, it could go from being a spontaneous adventure to a disorganized nightmare. You may be the kind of person who likes to do things without much planning but an extended trip to Europe does require some amount of preparation.

The Basics: Who, When, Where, and Why

Before opening up a backpacking Europe guide and writing down all the names of hostels and train fares, sit down and reflect on what the purpose of your trip is. If you are traveling alone, more power to you, but if you are traveling with a partner, discuss your priorities with him or her. If you are traveling with someone, realize that you are going to be with that person hours on end so you need to make sure you have similar interests in terms of travel. For example, some travelers may want to party all night while others want to spend the entire day museum-hopping and getting their much-needed rest at night. Make your priorities clear with your travel partner prior to departure so you don’t end up having conflicts later.

Crime, like anywhere else in the world, can be a problem, but you really need not do much more than take all the usual sensible precautions. Know where you’re going before you set off, particularly at night, watch your possessions, don’t walk alone in dodgy areas, lock your doors at night. Much like anywhere else. And, like anywhere else in the world, there are some areas of major cities which are more dodgy than others. It is easy to avoid these and still have a good time.
When walking through areas that are considered risky, avoid wearing visible jewellery or carrying cameras and bags over your shoulder. Keep cellphones (mobile phones) and wallets tucked away where no one can see them. Check beforehand that the areas you plan to visit are safe by asking hotel staff or police. It is not advisable to use local commuter and metro trains as attacks on foreigners have occurred.

For College Aged or (Those who want to be College Aged again): The Club

House bands and a rotating list of guest musicians perform live music nightly.  Dark and dingy, it’s just what you’d expect to find in a downstairs ski town party bar.  Expect cheap drink specials (think shots), people who don’t realize the effects of alcohol at altitude, and a raucous time that frequently continues on long after closing time with partiers leaving to grab a slice of pizza at Vendettas or Pazzos before crashing back at the condo.

Gettin’ Your Groove On: Samana

If you can move your body (or think you can), or if you just can’t live without your big-city dance club for longer than a week, then this is your spot.  Disco lighting?  Check.  Bartenders that look like they’ve just left the catwalk?  Uh huh.  Hottest DJs ever?  Yep.  You’re going to be sized up in here, so bring your best moves and bust ‘em like you weren’t in ski boots all day.

Volkswagen was one of the first manufacturers of the camper van.  The VW camper van, also known as a minibus, was first introduced in 1950 and gained in popularity as an inexpensive way to take the family on vacation.  In the 1950s, the Volkswagen camper van, also know as Type 2, was one of two car models produced by Volkswagen.  The VW camper van is not only a classic but also holds iconic status in recent American history, as it was closely associated with the counter-culture of the 1970s.

The VW touring van inspired some imitations in the United States.  Similar models came out from Ford, Dodge, and Chevy. Still, the VW version remains the most widely recognized.

The Dutch and Afrikaans have a very important word for hiking. We may call it backpacking or camping. Other countries refer to it as trekking. To trek is to pull or haul something along. You are doing that whenever you take a trip into the wilderness. Whether you intend on staying the night or just part of a day, the basic items must be taken along with you. Food is important no matter how long you are going somewhere. A first aid kit will benefit

you greatly on a trip. Plastic bags can be very helpful in many situations.

When you go on a trek you must bring two types of food. Food that gives you energy is important. This can be peanuts or chocolate, or even an energy bar. Food for larger meals can come in the form of MRE’s or food that only needs water added. This keeps your carrying weight down and takes up less space in your pack. For More Details Click Here
